I went to the second concert of my life last night. It was a small little one, with a bunch of local bands at the Uptown Theater. My friend Corey, her sister, and some of her sister's friends were going, and she invited me and our friend Terra to come along. We got free tickets since her cousin was the drummer for the band Burning Tide.
It was a competition, the qualifier round, to see who would make it to be playing at Freaker's Ball. The first band, Beneath the Surface, was really awesome. Their bassist played really well, and their drummer was really great, even though he was a little eccentric. I was surprised at how arrogant most of the people in the bands were, especially the band with the fourteen-year-old kids, the Uncountable Kings.
Personally, I thought Burning Tide was the best, and voted for them. Their singer/bassist, Roxy (sp?) was amazing. She played so well, and had a wonderful voice. Their music was really original, and they had all-around great players. Taz, their rhythm guitarist, was drenched, though. You could see the sweat pouring off of him, when the rest of them were just looking a little hot. Anyways, they were really great. I'm hoping I'll be able to go see them perform again, and really hoping they will make it into Freaker's Ball. They were definitely the best there.
My camera's been broken, so I wasn't able to take any pictures, unfortunately. It'd have been nice to have pictures or a video of that as a memory. Hopefully next time, right?

Procrastination!
First post, whoo! Let's see a smile for me! =)
Why'd I decide to make a blog, again? It was that blog post I found last night, "Why Is Everyone So Sad," by That Guy Right There. It was really inspiring, and immediately cheered me up. I loved it, the whole positive attitude thing going on. I guess it made me decide I wanted to share my thoughts, too.
So I finally slept last night, so I ended up missing my alarm clock letting me know it was time to get up. That meant I didn't get to send out my pet rock packages to all the neighbors. I'll stay up until it's super early tonight to make sure I can give them this time.
The family and I went to Target yesterday, and the entire outside was filled with feathers. It was like three birds had all given up all their feathers as decoration (although I doubt the Managers were intending for there to be feathers in front of their store). I didn't have a camera with me, so I couldn't take a picture, unfortunately. It was really a strange site. I can only hope that everyone can see Target covered in feathers sometime in their life.
So, my best friend had to go to a funeral yesterday. It was for an uncle she never knew, and doesn't particularly care about. Things like that really make me wonder how many people really will care when you die, or if everyone that will be in attendance at your funeral will be people you never knew. Imagine, being buried with strangers. Cremation really would be a better idea, wouldn't it? I don't know, I'm still in deliberation on that one.
Well... There are boxes waiting to be packed. I should go get started on that (or go read a book, hooray for procrastination).
